Yaesu FT 891 Manpack

100 Watts of portable HF power ..

This to the left is my Yaesu FT891 radio in an armoloq cage with the armoloq battery box attached to the bottom.

For this day I was not using the attached battery and was powering it all off of the 100ah battery box (FDE pelican style box in the background). The only downsides of this setup is there is no waterfall (not an SDR radio) and there is no integrated tuner.

Who is this radio good for? If youโ€™re a pota or sota person that has a resonant antenna, I donโ€™t see another radio in this price range that can compete.
