Beyond the Radio
Ham radio isn’t the only thing keeping me busy. Here’s what else fills the garage, the range, and the workbench.
Shooting & Guns
Punching paper and steel at the range and working on marksmanship, a hobby that’s been with me longer than any of the others.
Jeeping
Trail runs, mods, and the occasional stuck in the rocks. My Jeep doubles as a portable radio platform too.
Riding Harleys
Nothing clears my head like the open road. Long rides on two wheels are where a lot of my best ideas show up.
Adventure Bikes
For the trails a Harley can’t touch. Further, rougher, and usually further from cell service, good practice for EmComm too.
3D Printing
My printers are always running, half hobby, half workshop tool. Antenna mounts, radio enclosures, and whatever the shack needs next.
Ham Radio
The newest addition to the list, and the one that ties the rest together. Portable ops, EmComm training, and chasing DX one contact at a time.
