Why 10 Meters Specifically
10 meters is uniquely accessible to Technician class licensees for phone operation, and its dramatic swings between dead silence and wide-open, continent-spanning propagation during solar maximum make it a genuinely exciting band to specialize in. Ten-Ten’s community grew up around that excitement, giving hams a reason to specifically seek out and log 10 meter contacts rather than treating the band as an afterthought.
Awards and Activities
Beyond basic membership number exchanges, Ten-Ten runs periodic QSO parties and contest-style events specifically on 10 meters, giving members concentrated activity windows to rack up contacts and work toward higher award tiers.
