This is the most expensive post that I’ve made so far lol.. my HF journey has been fast and furious, but let me break it down and give some feedback on what I’ve owned/used so far
Yaesu FTX1
This has grown on me. When I initially got it, the firmware was a mess and quickly they addressed it all. Now it’s a pretty solid radio and I love the fact that I can remove the head and just have a nice and portable QRP radio,

Yaesu FT-891
This is the one I put in my jeep with the atas 120
This is perfect for portable ops if you use a resonant antenna or can tune an antenna well. Also works great with the ATAS120. This may never leave the jeep.

Xiegu G90
Great radio. The best tuner I’ve ever used. Light weight and compact for 20watts. Works so damn well.

Tru SDX
Sold it after a few months. Great little radio if you did primarily digital but it wasn’t great for me. I prefer the g90 over this all day long.

7300 MK2
Love this little radio. It’s primarily used for ft8 and digital modes, but the menu system is far better than the ftx and the clarity is on par.
